A new version of the PoA registration form (postal submissions only) is now available.
This version has 2 new features:
- The option for the granter or specified persons to receive their copy of the registered PoA by email. If the granter wishes to receive their copy by email an email address must be provided which the granter has given permission to use. Similarly any specified persons named in the PoA document may receive an electronic copy if a suitable email address has been provided.
- More information is included in section 2 about the duties and responsibilities of attorneys. This will help prospective attorneys be more aware of their role before signing to confirm that they are willing to act.
- When sending the registration form, please only send the pages that have been completed.
- We scan PoA documentation on to your case management system therefore please do not staple documentation. 39,282 postal PoAs were processed between April 2017- March 2018, that’s a lot of staples to unpick and time detracted from preparing documents for scanning and processing.
