Remuneration is a payment made to financial guardians from the adult’s estate to compensate for acting as guardian.
The amount we set will depend on the value of the adult’s estate at the start of the accounting period.
When we approve an account we issue an audit certificate which states the amount of remuneration awarded to the guardian. This payment should be taken within 12 months of it being awarded. If remuneration has accrued we ask that guardians contact us.
