Attention EPOAR users - revoking a PoA and putting another PoA in place

Dec 20, 2022

When revoking a PoA and opting to use EPOAR to submit a fresh PoA, EPOAR users are reminded of the following steps to ensure swift processing:

  1. Submit the PoA via EPOAR
  2. Pay the registration fee
  3. Email opg@scotcourts.gov.uk  to advise that a PoA currently exists and that a revocation notice has been submitted to be worked along with the new PoA.

We ask that EPOAR users ensure that they are familiar with this process. By following these steps the granter can be assured that there will be a seamless transition in changing over the PoAs.

If the steps are not followed it is possible for the previous PoA to be revoked before the new PoA is actually processed and registered.

It should also be noted that the revocation and the new PoA submission will be placed in the general PoA processing queue. If there is a genuine urgency for the new PoA to be processed ahead of others waiting in the queue please use the expedite process.
