The Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) is part of the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service.
We have provided a power of attorney (PoA) registration service since April 2001. Throughout this period, we have been committed to delivering a high level of customer service. However, users familiar with the PoA registration service will be aware of the longstanding backlog and considerably long wait times for PoAs to be processed.
