New interim Deputy Public Guardian, We are pleased to announce that Carrie Diggins has taken up the position of Deputy Public Guardian on an interim basis. Carrie has a long working service with the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service and has worked throughout Scotland. More recently she held positions at Falkirk and Stirling sheriff court. Interim measure - no PoA telephone helpline on Thursdays, From Thursday 29th September the Power of Attorney and Investigations Team will not be operating a telephone helpline service on Thursdays.
This measure will allow us dedicated time to process powers of attorney. We will monitor and review the effectiveness of the measure and provide an update as to when the telephone service will be reinstated on Thursdays. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
